The desire

–Preety Bora

The road that I used
to walk is full of dust.
The flower that I wanted
to kiss is withering now.
Even, the butterfly that I wanted
to touch is flying away
The only, my soul that
I desire to look, is
calm and weary in sadness.
I pray to God
to hold my grief forever.
I travel between joy and solitude
climbing the old loneliness
I only want to renew myself
like an old river's quiet.
